A conversation about vaping in schools.

Bobby Betros joined FAMU's MMERI forum to discuss a concern shared by educators and families.

On February 26, 2026, Florida A&M University's Medical Marijuana Education and Research Initiative brought together Andy Donado, Dr. Michael West Jr. and SwabTek's Bobby Betros for The Hidden Crisis In Schools, part of its Conversations on Cannabis series.

MMERI featured the discussion in its March newsletter, connecting the forum with its broader work in cannabis education. The school setting matters: questions about vaping often reach parents, teachers and school staff together, making shared understanding an important starting point.

Watch the original MMERI conversation here. For information about screening a vape or another item, our education pages and product resources explain what each test is designed to detect. A residue test examines a sample; it does not establish whether a student used a substance.
