SwabTek and the United States Police Canine Association announced a partnership on February 15, 2023, centered on supporting canine teams and their handlers.
The launch plans included donated narcotics field-test kits for teams attending the association's National Detector Dog Trial and certification event in Evansville, Indiana. The announcement also described joint webinars, further donations, event sponsorship and member purchasing offers.
The announced program paired access to equipment with education about suspected substances encountered in the field. SwabTek's dry-reagent format removes the need to mix liquid reagents or break glass ampoules during testing. That gives handlers a portable screening option to use within their established sample-handling and safety procedures.
